Author Mark Greaney has dropped his latest newsletter and confirmed he’s going to New York for ThrillerFest, the annual conference for the International Thriller Writers Association, May 5-9. He’s set to be on various panels as speaker and moderator, as well as emcee of the awards banquet.

Greaney also confirmed he’s now back home in Memphis, after a lot of travel early this year due to February’s release of The Hard Line. He’s currently working on the sixteenth book in the Gray Man series. Details are sparse so far on what book 16 in the series will contain. Personally, I’m looking forward to more from the Ghost Town crew, as well as a return appearance from Zoya. Greaney did confirm, however, that he’s well underway with the writing and expects to have a first draft complete by the end of June. Release date for this latest book is set for February 17, 2027.

Greaney also provided a recommendation for what to watch right now and I couldn’t agree more, having recently binged the entire show.

My recommendation for this month is for the Hulu series, Paradise, a well-written and acted conspiracy thriller available on Hulu. It’s a story about a Secret Service agent protecting a president in a near-future world where nothing is really as it seems. I love this show and the depth of the writing. I wouldn’t call it action packed, but it has an enjoyable slow-burn to it, and the characters feel very real to me. — Mark Greaney
