Major Awards and Bestseller Success
The past few months brought significant recognition for Stewart’s current book series:
- Audie Award Victory: The audiobook edition of Silent Horizons, narrated by Ray Porter, won an Audie Award in the “Faith-based Fiction or Non-Fiction” category at the Audio Publishers Association award ceremony in New York City.
- USA Today Bestseller: Two months following the Audie victory, Riptide, the second book in the series starring protagonist Foster Quinn, officially hit the USA Today bestseller list.

Family Updates and potential Upcoming Signings
On the personal front, Stewart announced that his son, William, has joined the U.S. Air Force Academy as part of the Class of 2030, where he will also play water polo. With trips planned to visit Colorado Springs, Stewart mentioned plans to organize local book signings in the area during his visits.
Stewart joked that he’s switched teams for four years to become an Air Force fan.

- Reading: Ironwood by Michael Connelly. Stewart highlighted Connelly’s ability to build an expanded universe, noting that this second installment in the Catalina series features Detective Sergeant Stillwell, heavy appearances from Renée Ballard, and a cameo from Harry Bosch.
- Watching: Star City on Apple TV+. A spin-off of For All Mankind, the series examines the Cold War space race from the Soviet perspective, blending historical fiction with espionage — something I’ve personally also enjoyed.
- Listening: The Revivalists. Tracing their roots back to 2007 at Checkpoint Charlie’s Laundromat / Bar in New Orleans, Stewart highlighted the band’s journey to their 2015 #1 Billboard Alternative single, “Wish I Knew You”.

Jack Stewart appears to be one of the hardest working writers in the genre. Credit to him for packing so much in over the next year and delivering what looks to be a total feast for readers. I will also be watching carefully for news on a follow up to Direct Action, as his debut in the Presidential Agent series really grabbed my attention. I also can’t wait for Alpha Strike, which looks to be an interesting “what if” concept that undoubtedly will bring a lot of nostalgia for fast jet and thriller fans.
