Don Bentley has officially revealed his latest project: Flesh and Blood, a title in the Amazon Original Stories collection Pursuit. The announcement marks the first time in three years that the bestselling author has published a story solely under his own name.
Flesh and Blood forms part of Pursuit: Hunt or Be Hunted, a new collection of standalone short thrillers arriving this October. Alongside Bentley, the lineup includes major names in espionage and military suspense, led by a collaboration between Mark GreaneyMark Greaney and Joshua Hood titled Tower Fall.
Don Bentley’s ‘Flesh and Blood’
Set five years after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Flesh and Blood follows Green Beret Mark “Spicoli” Peters and his team of commandos. Their mission is to escort an Afghan warlord through the rugged terrain of the Korengal Valley while staying one step ahead of pursuing Taliban forces.
The operation shifts when the unit discovers an archaic structure hidden in the mountains that should not exist. That discovery triggers an ambush, leaving Peters and his men trapped between hostile trackers and an ancient evil waiting in the valley.
Bentley is taking preorders now and invites readers to send their initial thoughts directly to [email protected].
