This book had a familiar setup – a unit that doesn’t officially exist, going around mopping up America’s bad guys. That said, Cameron brought a cast of characters that were unique and original. The main character Jericho Quinn acts as the “hammer” for when your problem is a nail and you do actually just need a hammer. I liked his straight no bullshit approach. Assisting him was Jacques Thibodaux, a colorful Cajun who doubles down on the no bullshit. Within a few chapters I was right at home with these guys.

The plot centred around a bio weapon. That’s always a terrifying thrill of a plot line and here it was executed well. I especially like reading these sorts of plots post-COVID and seeing how they stand up. In this case, it rang true.

Overall, very enjoyable. Solid characters, great plot, and intense action. I’m not a biker, however it was clear Cameron is and has a deep passion for two-wheeled action. It’s infectious. I’m looking forward to more thrilling chases on a variety of motorbikes.
