Details have recently just been released regarding the first book from Jack Stewart in the Jack Ryan Jr. series. The title is Tom Clancy Pressure Depth. It’s available on September 1, 2026.

The underwater nature to this one feels fresh, and also claustrophobic. If this traps or isolates Jack Jr. underwater then it’s a total change for the series. Most Campus operations rely on high-tech comms, satellite overwatch, and backup. If he goes underwater, Jack will be cut off. Physically and psychologically this may take him to difficult place, if he’s not already there after Lisanne told him where to stick it at the end of Terminal Velocity. Let’s hope that Jack has learned that lesson and has developed some maturity, perhaps even started down the path of deciding whether he’s actually an analyst or an operator.

Pressure Depth could be a visceral survival thriller, intimate and dangerous. I’m already imagining crushing dive scenes straight out of The Abyss.
